Who we are
GCMS Notes is a sole proprietorship. We are an independent service and not part of the Government of Canada, IRCC or CBSA.
What we do
We prepare and file requests for personal records on your behalf and pass the records on to you. The request service does not include legal or immigration advice. If any member of our team offers advice, that is a separate engagement under their own professional rules and is not part of this service.
We file your request within 1 business day of receiving your signed consent form. The time the government takes to respond is outside our control.
What you agree
- The details you give us are accurate and are about you, or you are authorised to request the records for the person named.
- You will sign and return the consent form we send so that we can act for you.
- You will not use the service for unlawful purposes.
Fees and payment
Our fee is shown before you submit your request. You are not charged when you submit. We email you the payment instructions, and we file your request after we have your payment and your signed consent form. We do not ask for your card number by email or through this website.
No guarantee about the government
The government decides what records it releases and when. We cannot guarantee a response time, that records exist, or that nothing will be withheld.

Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fee you paid for the request in question.

We may update these terms and will show the date above. These terms are governed by the laws that apply where we operate, including the federal laws of Canada.
